JOB SUMMARY

An Iron Horse Companies, LLC Estimating Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all phases of the estimating and bidding process including pre-construction services and performing estimate takeoffs. Knowledge of Commercial Plumbing estimating from large to small projects consisting of new construction in Hospitality, Multi-Family, Tenant Improvements, JOC, Design/Build is a huge plus.

Assisting with Bid document review, pre-bid meetings, client communication, quantity/material takeoff, material, required equipment & other requirements pertaining to the bid. The estimator assistant will be utilizing QuoteSoft Estimating Software (experience is a plus).

• Assist with Preparing project estimates, developing project cost summaries, present and explaining results and recommendations.
• Assist with Communicating bid results effectively to General Contractor Pre-Construction managers and Senior Managers with Iron Horse Companies
• Review/Analyze plan design to prepare an accurate estimate and/or bid.
• Superior organization required with bid data for future needs and retaining historical data
• Review meetings pertaining to estimates and bids will be conducted with Senior Management & Chief Estimator before submission to clients.
• Create preliminary bid lists
• Communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with peers, clients and vendors.
• This position will report to our Chief Estimator
